Songs of the Week (March 20th)

Alright everyone I'm going to be starting a new weekly series called "Songs of the Week" in which I showcase a few songs that have been in heavy rotation on my iPod throughout the past 7 days. I'll be able to put you guys onto some quality hip hop so feel free to leave feedback below and hit the jump to see my favorite songs of this week.

Asher Roth & Nottz - Coming & Going (feat. Rhymefest)
From Ash & Nottz' EP, pictured above, Coming & Going is one of my favorite songs of 2010. Nottz produces a beat with a really fresh sample and all three verses are on point.

I got 2 kids with two different mothers,
Got men without my blood that I would call brothers
Asher Roth & Nottz - Coming & Going (feat. Rhymefest)

Meek Mill - I'm A Boss (feat. Rick Ross)
Next up is Maybach Music signee Meek Millz with help from label head Ricky Rozay. With the assistance of Jahlil Beat's production consisting of triumphant horns and drums, they craft the biggest street banger since "Hard in Da Paint". Not sure if it will appear on Meek Mill's debut album, or the Self Made Maybach Music compilation album coming out this May, or neither but it is definitely one of the hottest tracks this year.
A boss is one who guarantee we goin' eat,
Fuck a blog dawg cause one day we goin' meet,
Imma spazz on yo ass like I'm on E
Meek Mill - I'm A Boss (feat. Rick Ross)

Kanye West - A Million And One Questions Freestyle
Everyones favorite asshole dropped this freestyle a few years over Hova's "A Million and One Questions" beat and murks it. I had to listen to it four times in  a row the first time I heard it. No one in their right mind can question Kanye's talent as an MC...or a producer for that matter.

For the million time asking me
Questions like Toni Braxton, harassing me
Like you don't care about my son's feelings?
Can I get a minute, you wack bitch? I ain't gotta jack shit
You heard "Takeover", who running this rap shit
Kanye West - A Million And One Questions Freestyle

Travis Barker - Hard Liquor (Feat. Tech N9ne)
Originally appearing as a throwaway track for Game, Barker took this Dr. Dre beat and infused his unique drum and rock sound to form a genre-hybrid track made even better by Tech N9ne's lyrical flames. Make sure you also check out Travis Barker's solo album, Give The Drummer Some, in stores now.

I go hard as hell on one night, fun sight
If I’m drunk enough to start a bum fight
Done right, Henny, Jack and Gin, 151 Rum slight, none light
Travis Barker - Hard Liquor (feat. Tech N9ne)

D12 - Kill Zone
Lastly, some new shit from the Dirty Dozen. Yelawolf and Slaughterhouse are getting a lot of shine because of their deal with Shady Records, but let's not forget the original group that was there from the start. This is a song from D12's upcoming mixtape and let me tell you...it is insane. Return of the Dirty Dozen Part II coming in April.
Who next flexin'?
I lift my two hands up, a tech in each one,
And you can forward this tech's message
And for those wondering, yes Bizarre is still as fucked up as ever.
Brain froze, can't feel my toes,
All I need is a 8ball and a picture of Amber Rose,
20 thousand Delonte West can fuck my mother,
50 thousand, he can sodomize my brother
D12 - Kill Zone

Check in next Sunday for more hot shit.
