Top 100 Songs of 2011: #100-76

As 2011 comes to an end, we've been privileged enough to see a wide range of dope music, from all kinds of sub-genres of hip hop. The creation of this list was much tougher then I initially expected, and it took all three of us days to comprise what we think is a comprehensive and complete list of all the material released in the past 365 days.

We are interested in hearing what you guys think about what we've come up with, so go ahead and leave your thoughts in the comment section. There are individual download links for each song, in addition to a .zip file at the bottom of the post, containing all 25 joints. Tune in for the next segment (#75-51) coming tomorrow.

#WILTN Black Milk - Deadly Medley (feat. Royce Da 5'9" & Elzhi) (Video) [prod. Black Milk]

The second "What I'm Listening To Now" segment is right here. My boy @GleamsATM brought this song back to my attention when he rhymed over the instrumental. I didn't know there was a vid for it, but both the visuals/verses/beat are all dope as fuck. It's off of Black Milk's Album of the Year. Download link for the mp3 is after the cut.

#WILTN Premiere: Rick Ross - 9 Piece (feat. T.I.) [prod. Lex Luger]

Gonna start a new segment on #SFdotNet to kind of take the place of "Songs of the Week". Every now and then I'm going to be throwing up posts called "What I'm Listening To Now". There's no limitation on the frequency of posts, or what genre or how new/old the song is. Just know that these posts will all feature really dope songs. You'll be able to find all of these future posts, along with all the "Top Songs of the Month" posts and old archived "Songs of the Week" posts on the "Top Songs" tab on the top right of the site.

Ok anyways. To start off this series, we got the Ross x T.I. joint from the Ashes To Ashes mixtape. And although it sounds like all of the other Lex Luger beats, this one is especially dope. Not to mention T.I. murks his verse. Hopefully Teflon Don will be straight up fire. The download link is after the cut.

Songs of the Week (September 3)

This will be the first SOTW post from my new apartment in the streets of Boston, MA. The site has been in a state of struggle for the past week or so, due to the power outages and my moving situation, but we got the internet up and running in the new place so SF.net is back up to full force. This week's songs got some oldies, some new joints and one of the most hilarious freestyles ever recorded. Hit the jump to check it out.

Songs of the Week (Top 15 Songs of August 2011)

I've been slacking on the Songs of the Week posts, being on vacation and shit. Being on a tropical island kind of voids out any type of blog posts that take effort. But don't worry we be back this weekend, with some shit that'll keep you occupied while you wait out the hurricane of death. Although I hope you guys check the site multiple times a day...the truth is many people don't and some real gems slip under the radar and don't get heard or get the credit they deserve.

So I'm starting a new segment on the last weekend of the month I'll make the Songs of the Week post a wrap up of all the best songs that have come out in the past month. Each song has a separate download link, and at the bottom of the post there will be a .zip file that has all 15 songs in one download. Remember, this is MY opinion, although I welcome any input recommendations that didn't make the list. So hit the jump and check out the best songs that have come out in the past 30 ish days.

Songs of the Week (Top 10 Blends)

The digital era has ushered in a new arena of music known as blends or mash ups. Anyone with a computer can lay vocals over an instrumental track, creating something new from old. But since anyone can do it, Youtube is overloaded with shitty ass renditions of songs that sounds like they were created by a deaf man utilizing Windows Movie Maker. I've narrowed down the blends I'm aware of, and compiled the Top 10 Blends, utilizing everything from Nirvana to Jay-Z. Hit the jump to check it out, and if your looking for a brawl, check out last week's fight songs.

Songs of the Week (Northeast CT v. Worcester, MA Edition)

Last night shit got 100% real in the mean streets of Worcester, MA. A full out royal rumble going down in the living room. I gotta shout out to everyone throwing down for the Quiet Corner. The only good thing about it, was that none of these 10 songs were playing when it was going on. Someone would probably have perished if that was the case. Inspired by the events of last night, I have the top 10 fight songs (IMO and in no order) of all time. If you have any that you think should have made the list, drop it into the C-section and check out last week's songs here.

Songs of the Week (July 10th)

I took a week long hiatus from SOTW for the holidays, but I'm back in business. Also, congrats to Jeter for his 3,000 hit, but I'd much rather gaze at his fiancee then him so she'll be sponsoring this week's songs. I'm coming back strong with some Drake, XV, 2pac, Nipsey Hussle, Young Buck and others. Hit the jump to check it out, and make sure to look at last week's songs.
